TAX & INSURANCE INFORMATION FOR LOCAL SOCIETIES

Tax Exempt I-990N

It is that time of year again; time to file your I-990N. This is an IRS requirement for all local rose societies whose income is less than $50,000.

The 990-N MUST be filed no later than the 15th day of the 5th month following the end of your tax year. For most of you that means this must be filed by May 15, 2021.

*Please note: If you do not file a 990-N by May 15, 2021 you are risking losing your societies non-profit status.

The 990-N form is filled out online and takes about 10 minutes.
You will receive an email confirmation* once you submit the 990-N to the IRS.
* Please check your spam/Junk folder if you do not receive an email confirmation.

You will need your society’s EIN. When you enter the EIN the American Rose Society is listed as the business you are filing for. This is correct. As you proceed through the form you will enter your society’s name as the Does Business As name.
